The Artisan

Iconic design and signature placemaking mark this 4-story tuck-under residential community in Southern Colorado. The 4.7-acre site, found within the Mercado Planning District, realizes the stated goals of connectivity, walkability, convenience, diversity, and authenticity. This project acts as an extension of urban pedestrian flow from the Mercado Village and connects to regional trail systems. The design for the exteriors and amenity spaces mimic local industrial farm architecture combined with the local mineral spring resorts. Unique forms celebrate the outdoor Colorado experiences with clusters of geometric volumes and cascades down the natural terrain.
