El Camino Real

In response to the rising need to build affordable housing where it is needed most, this project is a prime example of streamlining the housing approval process to deliver 134 affordable apartments utilizing  modular construction in the San Bruno Transit Corridor. A deliberate design choice to seamlessly integrate a contemporary-industrial aesthetic into the existing industrial landscape fosters a sense of urban revival for the community. The six-story building’s entrance on El Camino Real enhances street frontage, featuring lush landscaping to encourage community interaction while a lobby, mail room, leasing offices, and an elevator lobby welcome residents. The modern design incorporates decorative elements, and metal awnings, amplifying the main entry. Additionally, residents can enjoy a 3,000 SF raised outdoor amenity courtyard on the podium level with a playground, seating area, and open space, catering to outdoor activities.
