AO designed a thoughtful collection of structures for Luna Park, an amenity-rich destination within the Great Park Neighborhoods community. The scope includes a 2,500 SF community building, public restrooms, pool equipment rooms, storage, and a trash enclosure—each seamlessly integrated into the park’s landscape.
At the heart of the design are sculptural shade structures made from tensile steel, perforated metal, stone veneer, and wood slats. These distinctive elements provide both shelter and visual interest, interacting with light and shadow to elevate the visitor experience.
With low-pitched rooflines and a warm, modern material palette that complements the surrounding homes, features like the family BBQ pavilion and three poolside canopies embody a refined balance of form and function. AO’s design creates a cohesive environment that feels welcoming, connected, and full of character.
